The new amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), effective December 1, 2006, focus on eDiscovery and the accessibility of electronically stored information. These changes require even more collaboration between in-house counsel, Chief Compliance Officers, IT, Records Managers and business managers.

Proactive legal and IT professionals see the added value in ensuring that electronic retention policies and procedures are in place and are aligned to applicable rules, policies and regulations governing their business. These disparate corporate roles must partner effectively to access, collect, prioritize, analyze and destroy digital information that is ultimately admissible.

Much of the focus in the press lately is around E-mail and other messaging repositories due to the explosion of email volume as well as the casual nature of many electronic communications. What are the best practices for managing this and other forms of electronically stored information?  And what about process?  The identification, preservation, preparation, review and production of this information often times gets overlooked by the media hype.

Join us for this web conference to assess your readiness based on the experiences of Citigroup’s Assistant General Counsel and the extensive experience of CA at implementing electronic discovery platforms.

  • Creating a surveillance group to control email messages
