Realizing the Potential of Corporate Governance in Today’s Environment

The unprecedented number of corporate scandals, financial restatements, and bankruptcies has led to increased governmental and shareholder interest in corporate governance, culminating in the passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. SOX established a new regulatory system for auditors of publicly-traded companies and made the most significant changes in the laws governing the responsibilities of directors, officers and corporate transparency obligations.

Corporate Governance initiatives enable institutional investors to better manage risk by including corporate governance criteria as part of the investment process. Effective corporate governance practices lead to greater long-term shareholder value.

Join this live, interactive web conference as our panel of experts analyze how companies are maximizing the value in today’s environment by improving corporate governance. Hear corporate governance experts explore how SOX plays a critical role establishing new corporate requirements in executive and director’s compensation, internal audit and accounting, and composition/functions of the board of directors.
