    Ramin Farhood, PharmD, MBA, Senior Director, Global Head Medical Affairs Operations, Baxter BioScience

    Dr. Ramin Farhood is Senior Director and Global Head of Medical Affairs Operations at Baxter BioScience. Dr. Farhood provides the leadership and strategic alignment, direction and coordination of efforts for the cross-functional initiatives in Publications, Medical information, Literature services, Grants and Medical Events, as well as driving common global operational planning across BioScience Medical Affairs organization.

    Since joining Baxter in 2001, Dr. Farhood has held various positions within Global Medical Affairs, with strategic direction and execution responsibilities for BioTherapeutics franchise organization. During this time, he successfully built a strong global Medical Affairs organization in BioTherapeutics, developed and expanded the strategic direction, scope, capabilities and deliverables of the BioTherapeutics global medical affairs team.

    Dr. Farhood is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He founded the very successful Post-Doctorate Industry Fellowship program at Baxter in 2002, which continues to be a competitive and sought-after program among top pharmacy schools in the United States. Additionally, he recently authored a book chapter entitled “The Emerging Role of Global Medical Affairs in the 21st Century.” and is a frequent guest lecturer on topics related to Medical Affairs organization.

    Dr. Farhood received an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a doctorate in pharmacy from University of Southern California (USC)
