Catherine Gorman-Klug RNC, MSN, CNA Ms., Meridian Health
Gorman-Klug has over twenty years experience in varied areas of healthcare. In addition to a varied clinical background, she has extensive experience in the areas of project design, implementation and management. Her areas of expertise include project impact assessment; the assessment of resource requirements; the development of project structures and alternative strategies designed to meet the varied needs of clinical and non-clinical settings. She has developed and implemented Classification Systems to address the unique needs of specialty areas as well as those presented by healthcare redesign. In recent years Ms. Gorman-Klug’s efforts have expanded from the traditional Nursing areas to address the demands placed upon ancillary departments through the redesign of care delivery models. She has been extensively involved in the development and implementation of staffing patterns in multiple phases and areas of redesign. In her current position, as Corporate Director of Privacy and Data Security she serves as the responsible person for MH’s compliance with the requirements imposed by the HIPAA regulations and other regulatory and accreditation standards for Meridian Health System, Inc., an integrated health delivery system including hospitals, nursing homes, physician practices, assisted living facilities and ambulatory surgery centers with over seven thousand (7,000) employees. In this role she serves as the process owner for all ongoing activities that serve to provide appropriate access to and protect the confidentiality and integrity of patient, provider, employee and business information in compliance with organization policies and standards, as well as technical Security and Privacy tools and policies relevant to access control, audit logs, physical Security and Privacy, linkage control, software discipline, backup and disaster recovery as well as the system’s Help Desk. Prior to this she was responsible for the coordination of Meridian’s Year 2000 Compliance Program. Before assuming responsibility for enterprise wide projects, Ms. Gorman-Klug was the Director of Resources/Regulatory Compliance for a Medical Center within Meridian (two hundred inpatient beds; 100 long-term care beds and homecare services) where her responsibilities included JCAHO Accreditation. Prior to joining Meridian, she was the Director of Children's Services at a large teaching facility, where she spearheaded the redesign and implementation of a care delivery model designed to meet the unique needs of the child and family. Ms. Gorman-Klug holds a Masters of Science in Nursing Administration from Seton Hall University

Mike Koclanes is the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Chief Strategy Officer for Plasmon. Mike Koclanes has previously held the positions of CEO and CTO of CreekPath Systems Inc, an early innovator in storage management software where he was recognized as a "Storage CTO of the Year" in 2003 by the Enterprise Strategy Group. Mike has also held titles of VP of Marketing, GM of Storage Automation, and Director of New Products, at Sun Microsystems and Exabyte. At Sun Microsystems, Mike was part of the


David E. Smith, Senior Compliance Analyst, Symantec Corporation 

David E. Smith serves as a senior compliance analyst with Symantec, working on the company’s RAZOR Research Team. Previously, he served as a senior product consultant with the Professional Services team where he worked on major enterprise customer installations. Smith has worked in information security for Fortune 500 companies for the last 8 years. Prior to joining Symantec, he focused on information security, compliance strategy and program implementation for AEGON’s North American companies, including Western Reserve Life, IDEX Mutual Funds and Transamerica. During his tenure, he helped coordinate the information security compliance programs for all of AEGON’s North American operations. With Chase Manhattan Mortgage, Smith was responsible for the development of an information security compliance program for more than 150 branches nationwide. In addition, he also helped to develop emergency response plans for one of Georgia Pacific’s Tampa branches. Smith earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation in 2000. He holds a professional certificate in Computer Forensics from Oregon State University.
