No Time for Declarations of Victory:

Protecting Customers beyond Regulatory Deadlines

Results of a Peer-to-Peer Survey

Financial institutions that adhere to the call for stronger customer data and transaction protection by their government-mandated deadlines are wise not to declare victory.  This is not Y2K, and there are no permanent one-time fixes for securing remote channels  In fact, those who prematurely declare “mission accomplished,” in order to move on to bigger and better problems should realize that the real trouble is probably just getting started.

Today fraudsters have created an integrated supply chain of data thieves, data validation specialists, data salesmen, and account hijackers.  They understand the inefficiencies and patterns of risk management, they’ve adopted continuous process improvement as a best practice, and they rarely retreat to legitimate jobs when they run up against strengthened security walls.

So what’s the best plan of action for financial institutions? RSA is surveying & interviewing many of the worlds leading financial institutions to learn how authentication and risk management professionals are planning for the future. Join us on October 25th for a web seminar where RSA will present the findings of this survey, including:

  • Emerging threats
  • Adoption of new protection tools
  • Customer impact
  • Fraud losses
  • Organizational alignment
  • Emerging regulation.

If you are interested in learning how other leading banks are planning to protect their customer data and online transactions, this web seminar is for you! A white paper documenting the results of this survey will be available after the session.

Note: All responds will be white-labels to ensure the privacy and anonymity of the study participants.
