ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:
Terry Barash, Customer Relations Manager, Ford Motor Company

Terry Barash was appointed Strategic Portfolio Manager, Collaborative Solutions for Ford Motor Company in April 2001. As such, he is responsible for the expansion of the following collaborative areas: Team Workspace, Instant Messaging, Document Management, Audio & Web Conferencing, and email. He has responsibility for all customer outreach activities, such as best practice replication, marketing, consulting, and training & education. Terry joined Ford in 1993 working in Product Development activities as a System Engineer and Project Management Specialist until transferring to IT in 2001. Terry holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Miranda Mowbray, Knowledge Management, Hewlett Packard

Miranda Mowbray is a Technical Contributor at Hewlett Packard's European research laboratories, in Bristol, UK, where she researches social and technical issues in the management of online communities. She co-wrote the book "Online Communities: Commerce, Community Action, and the Virtual University", and co-founded E-Mint, the UK association for online community professionals. She has a PhD in Algebra from London University. She has led many virtual teams, and is currently researching peer-to-peer technology with a virtual team whose members are in the UK, Brazil, and the US.

Neil Lock, BT

Neil Lock heads the Messaging and Collaboration team for BT responsible for providing a portfolio of managed e-mail, instant messaging and document collaboration services using Microsoft and IBM technology. This role requires him to develop new propositions and services, lead consultancy engagements with customers worldwide and deliver high quality service levels for the BT customer base. He has been working in this role for 3 years but has over 10 years experience in Messaging technology, as part of the team who moved BT onto Microsoft Exchange.
