It’s time to raise the standard of drainage performance by putting HygieneFirst! Drainage systems are easily underestimated as it is often out of sight and out of mind. Understanding the critical role drainage plays in commercial food preparation, clean rooms and other sanitary areas where hygiene is vital, is essential in protecting the processing environment which directly impacts the company’s brand and reputation. Poor, ineffective or non-hygienic drainage systems can lead to costly ongoing maintenance or worse, contamination and drastic measures and costs to rectify and eliminate areas of risk.

Future success of the food industry requires the continued development and limitation of risk from poor hygiene. Drainage plays a critical role in this development, yet, in many instances is one the elements most neglected, therefore posing a serious risk to future success and the mitigation of risk. Guidance is  available through global organizations such as EHEDG, NSF and 3A, and this is leading to the development of better solutions for operators both in terms of drainage design and operational cleaning and maintenance activities. Join us to look at some of these key areas and the new guidance that provides a backdrop of the new opportunities available to operators.
