Work with Me: A New Lens on Leading the Multigenerational Workforce

A generational shift is changing the dynamics of the workplace. Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen X, and Gen Y are bringing their expectations, communication styles, and ideals to work—and tensions are rising.

Business leaders are looking for practical answers to questions such as:

  • Our next generation of leaders isn’t ready to lead—partly because people aren't sticking around long enough to get the necessary training and expertise.
  • Our workers are aging and young people don’t seem interested in our company. How can we build our bench strength of future leaders?
  • We can’t seem to get people to work together. So many small issues keep getting in the way. Can’t they just look past the small stuff and focus?

In this webinar, Debra Magnuson and Lora Alexander apply a generational lens to challenges of attracting, engaging, and retaining talent. Focusing on four areas of common ground—flexibility, respect, development, and coaching—they provide practical actions to help leaders positively address generational issues in their companies.

This webinar will benefit leaders of both line and staff functions in all organizational settings (public, private, government) with workforce engagement, retention, and performance concerns.

  • Senior Executives
  • Business Unit Leaders
  • Functional Leaders
  • Directors
  • Managers and Supervisors with responsibilities for people spanning multiple generations
