JOB SUMMARY:

As our Commercial Director for the Nordics, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of BioCryst business (marketing, sales and market access) across the Nordic markets and be responsible for the development of the commercial strategy and programmes that support the successful commercialisation of BioCryst products

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key leadership role for BioCryst business in the Nordic markets
  • Recruitment, leadership, management, and development of key account manager/s
  • Development and execution of local business & marketing plans and material to support the launch of our products, including material development, management through local compliance processes and implementation
  • Management of local marketing and communications agencies to support launch and commercialisation of our products
  • Manage the local key account and marketing strategy and implementation/execution.
  • Work with team locally and regionally to ensure the full requirements of the role are met and sales targets achieved
  • Lead local market access efforts to ensure broad access and uptake of our products across Nordic countries and within relevant key centres
  • Organise, manage and lead the sales effort in Nordic markets according to highest standards of compliance with principles of good corporate governance, professional and ethical behavior and safety
  • Works with the team to create learning plans and recommends training and development solutions, providing mentoring and coaching as appropriate
  • Budget and product forecasting of our products
  • Development and management of KOL relationships to actively develop business opportunities
  • Accountability for implementation of local marketing and key account plans ensuring co-ordination and close collaboration with local medical and cross functional team

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences and/or business is required
  • Fluency in relevant local languages (Swedish/Danish/Norwegian/Finnish) and English language is essential
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills is essential
  • MBA or equivalent qualifications would be a plus
  • Experience working successfully in a senior commercial position (preferably in the rare/orphan or specialty disease space) with people leadership experience required
  • A motivated professional with a “can do” attitude willing to work in a fast-paced, high accountability, small company environment, able to achieve measurable results in a given timeline
  • New Product Launch experience for a Pharmaceutical/Biotech product in rare diseases would be preferred
  • Broad understanding and experience in sales and key account management and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and collaborate successfully with multiple functions in a global team environment
  • Ability to understand, collaborate and enjoy working in a diverse global team-based organisation
  • Able to maintain professional skills and learn new ones when necessary
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain timelines
  • Ability to travel for general business and visit treatment centers in the Country / Region (~30-40%)
