Job Description

  • Significant duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring equipment is maintained, performing equipment calibrations, maintaining associated records, leading corrective plans and preventive actions, and forecasting department needs.
  • Primarily responsible for inventory management, stock control, purchase order processing, cost reductions, and material and vendor management.
  • Routinely performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Ensures that all established work instructions, standard operating procedures and product specifications are current.
  • Distributes and documents technical procedures to support equipment operations and handling.
  • Consults with manufacturers and representatives regarding new equipment, maintenance, and issues.
  • Creates and reviews results and quality documents.
  • Investigates and completes equipment files, waivers, deviations, and customer complaints.
  • Review and follow Standard Operational Procedures including staying up to date with changes
  • High integrity and demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with other departments in a team environment.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities to support laboratory and facility operations and equipment as assigned.
  • Meets basic expectations of Eurofins DPT’s quality management system, including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping so the company may meet its stated quality policy and objectives.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of college level study with a focus on life sciences or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of college level study with a focus on live sciences, preferred, but not required.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and/or calibration role in industry or applicable Eurofins DPT experience.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulatory guidelines applicable of HCT/P, preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of GDP and GMP, preferred, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • High integrity and demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with other departments in a team environment.
  •  Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel, Outlook, and data entry skills.
  • Ability to perform routine facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (minimum of 50 pounds).
  • Ability to work in a controlled environment utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to work within quality systems under regulatory requirements.
  • Project management experience including process improvement and cost reductions projects with 2+ team members.

POTENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

  • This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials.  All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT’s Safety and Exposure procedures.  This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.
