We are looking for a Statistical Methodologist who is curious, collaborative, and impact-driven to join us in our Biometrics and Data Science team, based in our Raleigh, NC office in the United States.
About the role
In this role, you will act as a statistical expert supporting innovative clinical trial design and analysis across the full drug development lifecycle. You will collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to translate complex quantitative challenges into clear, actionable insights that inform development, regulatory, and commercial decisions. You will also contribute to the development and application of novel statistical methodologies and share your work through publications, presentations, and industry collaborations.

You will be part of the Statistical Innovation group within Biometrics and Data Science, a team that serves as an internal statistical consultancy across therapy areas and development stages. You'll partner closely with colleagues in clinical development, regulatory, data science, and medical functions, working in a collaborative and innovative global environment.

What you'll do
- Support innovative clinical trial design and analysis across development stages
- Provide statistical consulting to cross-functional study and program teams
- Develop and apply advanced statistical methodologies to real development challenges
- Contribute to simulations supporting study design, power, and sample size decisions
- Communicate complex statistical concepts using clear visuals and narratives
- Support publications, conference presentations, and scientific working groups
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following
Minimum requirements
- PhD in statistics, mathematics, or a related scientific discipline
Preferred requirements
- Strong foundation in statistical methodology for clinical development
- Experience with R, SAS, or similar statistical programming languages
- Ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with Bayesian methods or innovative clinical trial designs
- Knowledge of global regulatory guidelines and health authority expectations
- Experience supporting drug development across multiple therapy areas
- Record of scientific publications or conference presentations
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment
