Keto and Co Launches Ready-to-Drink Shake As Convenient Meal Replacement

Health food company Keto and Co, also known as the maker of Sated keto shakes, is launching a new protein shake called ‘Sated Ready-to-Drink’ for people who are looking for convenient low carb food items packed with protein.

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat low-carb diet, that focuses on obtaining calories from fats and protein as opposed to carbohydrates like bread and pastries. When the body is rid of carbohydrates, the metabolic process known as ‘ketosis’ takes place, which is when the body burns fat for energy because there are limited carbs left to burn.

The ketogenic meal in a bottle comes in naturally sweetened flavors of Vanilla or Chocolate and is a ready-to-drink version of the company’s ‘Sated Mix-It-Yourself’ protein shake, which has been a top seller for the company since 2014.

“Our shakes are ready when you are,” says Keto and Co CEO, Ted Tieken. “And because they have all the nutrition of a balanced meal, they keep you fuller longer.”

Since eating carbs will offset ketosis, consumers on this diet are looking for another food item that is just as convenient as it is filling, and protein shakes seem to fit the bill.

According to Mordor Intelligence, the global Ketogenic food market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.3 percent between 2019-2024 and the key driver of this category is the demand for high-fat and low-carb beverages.

In addition, Keto and Co’s own research suggests 15- 25 million people in the US are on a keto diet and indicate there are not enough quick and convenient keto-friendly food options available. With a lack of products to choose from, the company hopes their Sated Ready-to-Drink shake can leverage an in-demand segment of the market.

“The anticipation we’ve seen for Sated Ready-to-Drink has been incredible,” says Tieken. “We’re thrilled to be bringing it to our backers, our customers, and to a national market that is growing ever more carb and health conscious.”

Both flavors of the beverage contain 18 grams of protein with a low dosage of net carbs. The shake also carries a blend of 27 essential vitamins, prebiotics fibers to promote gut health, and is sweetened with monk fruit and erythritol in order to avoid spikes in blood sugar.
