Customers Over Data – How to Design and Implement IoT Solutions that Put People Before Process

In a world where The Internet of Things (IoT) is commonplace, it can be difficult to determine where it begins, where it ends and where you fit among this ever-changing landscape. From smart cars to inventions such as connected refrigerators, this cutting-edge set of technologies promises to revolutionize businesses and power improved decision making.

Why then do only 26 percent of IoT implementations succeed, according to a recent Cisco survey of over 1,000 business leaders? Why are so many smart, accomplished companies in the healthcare and life sciences industries failing to harness the power of this new technology? We believe the answer lies in answering a simple question: How will IoT improve the day-to-day life of hospital staff, researchers, and the people they serve?

Terso Solutions implements Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to automate inventory management that helps scientific professionals focus on the most important aspect of their profession: people. Whether their profession is to save lives, improve patient care or make the next big discovery, the adoption of automation in these settings is a crucial component in achieving these central purposes. Although many people hope that hardware solutions – enclosures, stockrooms, mobile devices, etc. – will alleviate the stress associated with manual inventory tracking, they are rendered useless without the aid of well-developed, user-centric software and processes.

The presenters in this webinar are experts in hardware and software engineering, firmware development and RFID inventory solutions. In this webinar, they will take an in-depth look at IoT design and implementation, with a primary focus on RFID technology. With their wealth of knowledge and well-rounded view of the process, they will show attendees how to use IoT solutions to make more time for their customers.
