The horsemeat scandal was a wake-up call, one which put food fraud on Europe’s radar. These incidents were only the latest in a long line, which shows the current system is too permissive.

At BEUC, The European Consumer Organisation representing 40 independent consumer groups in 31 European countries, we surveyed our members following the horsemeat scandal to understand what they expected from key decision makers, manufacturers and law enforcement authorities, to help restore their confidence in the European food supply chain.

This webinar will provide an overview of key strategic priorities identified from this survey that reflect the European consumers’ perspective on what they believe needs to happen going forward
