Medical Device, Medical Device Manufacturing & Supply Chain,
  • Tuesday, May 08, 2018

Tracking inventory such as medical devices can be an arduous and manual process, especially when items are distributed in the field. Investing in an automated solution can increase workflow efficiency, save time and money, and ultimately lead to a leaner supply chain for field inventory. Utilizing RFID and Internet of Things (IoT) technology affords medical device manufacturers the opportunity to gain real-time inventory visibility and deliver immeasurable savings.

Now more than ever, the need for knowing where all of your inventory is at all times is critical to operations, safety, compliance, and patient outcomes. With a real-time, automated medical device tracking solution, this is now possible. Using real-time information and communications allows medical device manufacturers and sales reps the ability to be proactive in sensing the need for change before it is too late. Imagine all of the possibilities that exist when your medical device supply chain is fully connected and automated with the use of real-time tracking, IoT technologies, and RFID traceability.

This webinar will highlight how RFID can change the way field inventory is managed. Some of the benefits include:

  • Real-time visibility of inventory location and status
  • Eliminating inventory shrinkage
  • Keeping leaner field inventory without stock-outs
  • Eliminating paperwork lag time
  • Ability to track assets from loaner or consignment inventory
  • Reducing shipping costs
