As a majority of companies have moved to remote work as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and an increasing number of workers have been affected by reductions in forces or furloughed, the landscape for job seekers has changed. It is highly competitive to land an interview, as there is more talent vying for opportunities.  How do you stand out amongst a sea of resumes?  It will first come down to how you decide to “brand’ or market yourself.  This is where your resume comes in.  You need to have others look at your resume and say “I want to speak to that person”. That is the first step.  Then once you land the interview, how do you make yourself stand out during this process, whether onsite or virtual.  We will provide you with tips from an insider’s perspective.

During this workshop the Talent Acquisition team from Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Oncology will discuss how to create a compelling resume or improve the one you have. They will also be discussing how to ace the interview process and some pitfalls you should try to avoid. Whether you’re starting your career, looking to change jobs, or just wanting to be prepared in case the right opportunity presents itself, it’s important to update your resume and use it to target the positions that will help advance your career. In a time where virtual interviews are becoming the norm, it is imperative to make an impression not only with your resume, but also during the interview process. The talent acquisition team will also talk about common mistakes that are seen, and the best way to walk through your experience that is concise and impactful. They will provide some helpful tips and guidance on how to prepare for the interview process and visibility into what to expect from the process. For HR professionals, there will be a discussion around standard interview practices, how to set candidates up for success during the interview process and how to prepare the interview team on competencies that should be covered.

In this webinar, Recruiters from Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Oncology will provide jobseekers with helpful insights and tips for your job search. The Talent Acquisition team has experience supporting the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and technology fields, to name a few. They have supported hiring for different departments including discovery, research, clinical development, clinical operations, medical affairs, quality, regulatory, commercial, and other functions throughout the pharmaceutical industry. They will provide different avenues of job searching that go beyond looking for job postings online. In a competitive job market, any opportunities or guidance you can utilize to get your foot in the door will go a long way to helping secure your ideal role.

There will be a Q&A session afterwards to give participants an opportunity to ask specific questions related to their experience.
