Within a few hours after its public launch on September 28, Pureboost, a brand of energy drink mixes, raised over $2 million at a $40 million pre-money valuation on Wefunder, a popular US crowdfunding site. As the number one best-selling antioxidant clean energy drink mix on Amazon, Pureboost is free from sugar and sucralose, two ingredients commonly found in energy drinks.

Pureboost has generated $12.3 million in revenue during its first three years of business, including $7.34 million in sales in 2021 alone. The clean energy drink is expected to earn $100 million by 2026 in part thanks to more than 20,000 five-star reviews and a 45 percent reorder rate on Amazon.

In creating Pureboost, a group of four active parents set out in pursuit of a beverage that would give them the energy they needed to keep up with their children, while still being natural and flavorful. The energy drink mixes are sugar-free, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free that are formulated with caffeine derived from natural green tea, vitamin B12 and over 25 other vitamins, minerals and electrolytes.

Pureboost’s energy drink mixes are also free from artificial flavors, colors or preservatives and are packed with micronutrients, multivitamins and antioxidants. They also contain turmeric, ginger, vitamin C and zinc for immune support. Each box contains 30 tear-and-pour powder packs and each pack can be added to 16 to 20 ounces of water.Pureboost

Pureboost is available in three different lines: Original, Immune and Superfoods, and comes in eight flavors including Green Mojo, Red Burst, Citrus Sunrise, Berry Boost, Acai Alert, Tangerine Twist, Elderberry Powder and Tropical Spark.

Customer reviews emphasize that it’s “crash-free” and does not make them feel “jittery.” The products are available to purchase online at Costco.com and Amazon.com and by the end of the year will be available in more than 2,500 retail stores, including Walgreens and select Walmart locations. The company is targeting expansion into Wegmans, Kroger, CVS, Target and Whole Foods Market next year.

“As a leader in the fast-growing $350 billion clean energy drink market, Pureboost is positioned for even faster growth, especially with more audiences seeking functional nutrition and ingredient transparency, no sugar and healthier hydration energy alternatives,” the company said in a press release.

According to a recent report from ReportLinker, the global energy drinks market is expected to reach $76.6 billion in 2026 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.04 percent. Increased resistance to carbonated drinks and an increase in health consciousness are increasing the demand for energy drinks, which provide instant energy along with mental and physical stimulation.

Energy drinks often occupy little shelf space, which acts as an added advantage to them. Gas and convenience stores have seen a significant share of sales among the distribution channel. Travelers formed a significant chunk of customers as they prefer energy drinks during their traveling period as it boosts their energy levels.

The energy drinks market has also seen an enormous demand for natural energy drinks, like Pureboost. Some key players in the market include Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar, Amp, NOS, Full Throttle, Arizona Energy and more. Red Bull leads the market with a global market share of 43 percent followed by Rockstar with 36 percent.
