Xtalks and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

GDPR is an important new privacy standard. Learn how Xtalks is fully compliant with the new regulation.

At Xtalks, your legal rights to privacy are important to us. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that by May 25, 2018, we’d be ready for the most comprehensive data protection law the EU has ever seen — GDPR. After months of hard work, consultation with data protection and privacy experts, and with some new website redesign, we’re happy to say that we’re fully compliant with GDPR and committed to protecting and giving our visitors more control over their data.

If you’re a data subject in the EU and UK, this means that we’ve updated the ways that we handle and process your personal data. We hope you’ve taken the time to read, understand and agree to those new terms in our updated privacy policy.

These updates have changed processes as well as website design that help keep us committed to your data rights and freedoms. Here’s an overview of some of what’s changed for EU and UK data subjects as it pertains to GDPR:

Transparency: We only process the data according to your instructions. These instructions are carried out through our updated privacy policy agreement and through your instructions on each of our webinar registration forms.

Security: We’ve made updates to the data processing agreements we have with our clients, third party processors and our employees so that they are aware of the responsibilities and risks they inherit when they obtain data for marketing purposes. We’ve also reviewed and updated our protocols in the event of a data breach.

Accessibility: Through our updated privacy preference center, which is accessible on your first visit to Xtalks.com or through editing the privacy preferences under the “my profile” section of the website, you’re able to allow or restrict access to any cookies that we employ on Xtalks.com. In addition, users can now process a wide range of data rights control options.

As we continue to improve Xtalks with new features in the months and years ahead, we’re hoping that our users, as well as our partners, see value in our continuing commitment to protecting the privacy of all Xtalks visitors.
