Job Description

We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client’s team as an Associate Scientist in Lake Bluff, IL. This role involves testing new transfusion medicine products in a laboratory environment, with data generated submitted to the FDA for approval. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in laboratory practices and be adaptable to varying schedules. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct testing of new transfusion medicine products in a lab environment.
• Work primarily in the lab (75%) on assays and instruments related to transfusion.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation (25%) for all experiments and procedures.
• Execute studies per established protocols while adhering to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with laboratory regulations.

EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred; entry-level candidates will be considered.

EDUCATION
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in science or a related discipline required

SCHEDULE
• Monday to Friday: 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
• Saturday shifts: 1-2 times per month from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Schedule will be provided 2 weeks in advance, with limited last-minute changes (e.g., due to illness).
