Job Description
Overview
With supervision, the jobholder will be primarily responsible for the bioanalysis of samples at WuXi AppTec and will follow discovery bioanalytical procedures to perform assays and support pharmaceutical drug discovery and development in DMPK. The individual will need to use ligand binding assays, hybridization Elisa, clinical chemistry and related techniques to evaluate and test pharmaceutical drugs for clients across the pharmaceutical industry. The individual is accountable for delivery of accurate data on time for assigned projects.

Responsibilities
- Independently performing routine laboratory techniques, calculations, and procedures.
- Conducting PK, PD sample analysis in variety of biological matrices, including but not limited to reagent preparation (including calculation), sample analysis and data summarization.
- Understanding the study and method.
- Performing routine calculations, tabulates, and records results. Prepares accurate data summaries with supervision.
- Following specific instructions on assigned tasks and delivering accurate results within or ahead of the expected timeframe.
- Calibrating, maintaining and operating equipment to acquire experimental data.
- Maintaining experimental records/documents in a well-organized manner.
- Following and adhering to nonGLP guidelines/SOPs consistent with WuXi AppTec requirements.
- Promoting implementation and compliance with WuXi AppTec, Inc. safety policies, practices, and procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment and minimize or eliminate injury.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience/Education
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or pharmacology with 0-3 years relevant experience.
- Associate degree with >3 years related experience.
- Any similar combination of education and experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within biological or chemical R&D laboratory setting
- Knowledge in molecular biology and biochemistry and relevant technical aspects as well as literature and data base searching
- Previous experience in performing plate-based assays is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Well organized, detail oriented, and adaptable to changes.
- Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office environment with typical noise conditions.
- Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels
- Must be able to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to perform activities with repetitive motions
