With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Manager, Reagent Production to join our team in Camarillo, CA! This is a full-time exempt position.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and mentors’ supervisors and team members, as well as oversees general staffing, performance management, goal setting and ongoing feedback and support.
- Oversees Reagent Production Manufacturing Group. Encourages and promotes optimal productivity levels at all stages of the manufacturing process from start to completion. Schedules personnel, raw materials, and equipment to meet all reagent media requirements for production.
- Oversee quality control and quality assurance processes by ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), GMP, and ISO standards, while driving initiatives to enhance product quality, regulatory adherence, and operational consistency.
- Actively involved during the pre-launch of new products as it relates to manufacturing capacity, equipment requirements, potential limitations/restrictions and scale-up challenges. Work closely with Research and Development groups during the feasibility phase, pre-production phase, scale-up challenges and finally into the latter phases of a successful product launch.
- Actively manages product issues by asking questions, active observation, participating in the recreation of events and coordinating internal experts to quickly identify cause and determine corrective action for successful resolution. Works closely with all departments to reach resolution based on best practice.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track trends, and analyze data to proactively address inefficiencies and implement corrective measures that drive operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience, required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience required in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. Experience with leading and managing scientists or other technical discipline in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience managing direct reports required.
- Strong working knowledge of cGMP, Aseptic Technique, Scale-up Manufacturing and some understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.
Salary Range (applicable to California):
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 base salary DOE
Supervisory Responsibilities:
In accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; enforcing all safety rules and ensuring safe work procedures.
