Role responsibilities
- Content development: Demonstrates (and maintains) knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas (Neurology and/or Hematology), client and competitor product(s), the market, the compliance/regulatory environment (general and client-specific), and international standards for disclosing medical/scientific content.
- Applies the knowledge to develop (with minimal supervision) high-quality, scientifically accurate, strategically aligned, ethical, and compliant content that realizes client and thought-leader objectives and passes client medical/legal review.
- Develops content for a range of project types, writing styles, and media as appropriate to target audience(s) and to meet client objectives.
- Participates in client meetings and onsite programs, assisting in preparation of materials, as needed.
- Data checks colleagues' work against source materials.
- Project management: Follows processes and procedures that align with internal and client requirements/standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
- Manages and prioritizes workload, delivering to agreed timeline and budget, to meet client/business needs; proactively communicates when time is available to assist others.
- Contributes to project status/milestone tracking and out-of-scope reporting, and employs tools (e.g., DataVision, Zinc, Clear), as appropriate to project type, to track and manage deliverables.
- Demonstrates and communicates an awareness of the range of EPG business offerings.
Do you have what we are looking for?
Skills & expertise
- An advanced degree (e.g., Masters, PhD, etc.) in a life sciences or clinical discipline required.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical publications experience required.
- Familiar with ICMJE criteria and Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines.
- Experience with reference (e.g., EndNote or Reference Manager), graphing (e.g., GraphPad Prism), and tracking/approvals (e.g., Datavision, Zinc) software preferred.
