The WuXi Biology division provides a full spectrum of biology-related services and solutions, supporting stand-alone and integrated projects from early discovery to clinical development with 3,000+ scientists across 9 global sites.

WuXi Biology's Boston Site is strategically located in the heart of the Greater Boston area, recognized as the global epicenter of biotech innovation and venture investment. The Boston site serve as a key hub to demonstrate our global scientific capabilities to prominent US-based biotech companies.

We are seeking for a highly talented, innovative, and collaborative leader to lead both the technical and business development of peptide discovery platform to join our Boston site.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the technical development of peptide discovery platform, especially in mRNA-display technology.
2. Be the key influencer for the scientific and technical innovation for peptide discovery both internally and externally.
3. Act as the key internal resource to guide the commercialization and business strategy for peptide discovery.
4. Ability to prototype method development in the Boston lab and has the collaborative business mindset to work with a matrix team across different sites for technology enablement.
5. Be the key point contact with leadership, BD and marketing team to strategize the business plan;
6. Be the key technical point contact in client engagement to support the broader early discovery service platform in the US market.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

• PhD with minimum 5 years of related industrial research experiences in peptide discovery.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Deep technical expertise in peptide screen methods, including mRNA-display and DEL.

• Experience in design of screening libraries and downstream validation and optimization of peptide hits.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate properly with different internal and external stakeholders.

• Comfortable with working at a fast pace and having a flexible schedule to cope with different time zones to support the team.

• Strong attention to details, as-well as problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
