Role responsibilities
How will you make an impact at Envision Pharma Group?
Portfolio leadership, strategy and planning
- Provide overarching scientific, strategic, and tactical direction/leadership.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders, engaging in discussions of science and strategy with both clients and external experts.
- Drive and lead client relationships, developing action plans, leading partnership discussions and completing regular client health checks.
- Be responsible for the long-term success of your portfolio, driving initiatives to grow the business and add value to clients through innovation and efficient and effective delivery.
Delivery team oversight
- Provide up-to-date expert knowledge across the therapy area, client and competitor products, the market, the compliance/regulatory environment (general and client-specific), and international standards for disclosing medical/scientific content.
- Ensure that your team develops high-quality, scientifically accurate, strategically aligned, ethical, and compliant content that realizes client and thought-leader objectives and passes client medical/legal review.
- Oversee and direct the development of content for a range of project types and writing styles.
- Drive scientific strategy development, making recommendations on communication approaches for optimal support of our client's strategic objectives.
- Critically review the team's work and provide feedback to ensure scientific accuracy and strategic alignment.
People/line management
- Review business needs and identify appropriate opportunities and challenges for team members, ensuring optimal team development and retention.
- Proactively offer mentorship across the team, from less experienced line managers to other senior Scientific team members (e.g. Senior Medical Writers, Scientific Director, Content Specialist).
- Review business needs across the assigned portfolio and manage/negotiate team resource.
Business development:
- Drive and lead the development of scientific content for new business opportunities/proposals, for both organic growth within assigned accounts and wider new business opportunities, participating in pitch presentations.
- Build and develop an in-depth knowledge of EPG multichannel business offerings, keeping up to date with market developments, recognizing and proactively identifying new project/program opportunities through interactions with clients and external experts.
Do you have what we are looking for?
Skills & expertise
- An advanced degree (or equivalent relevant experience) in a life sciences or clinical discipline.
- 10 years of medical communications (or HEOR/market access, as appropriate) experience, preferably with experience gained across both publications and non-publications medcomms deliverables.
- Experience of working within a Medical Communications Agency.
- In-depth knowledge of oncology.
- Ability to interpret, evaluate, and communicate (in a variety of formats and styles) complex scientific and clinical data.
- Proven ability to lead a large medcomms (publications and/or non-publications) program, ideally within a global environment.
- Proven line management experience – medium-sized account team (5–10 people).
