Position Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager - Scientific I to support short-term projects within the Quantitative Biosciences Department. This role is ideal for a scientist with experience in vaccine or oncology discovery research who has strong project management skills and a talent for data wrangling. The successful candidate will collect, organize, and analyze data from preclinical studies, facilitate key projects, and create dashboards to support decision-making across the department.

Position Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager - Scientific I to support short-term projects within the Quantitative Biosciences Department. This role is ideal for a scientist with experience in vaccine or oncology discovery research who has strong project management skills and a talent for data wrangling. The successful candidate will collect, organize, and analyze data from preclinical studies, facilitate key projects, and create dashboards to support decision-making across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to preclinical studies in oncology and vaccine discovery and development (primary project).
- Facilitate a project related to clinical attrition.
- Organize and create dashboards for the department's in vivo pharmacology program support.
- Organize and create dashboards for the department's automated assay support.
- Conduct interviews with scientists and leaders internally to gather information related to project goals.
- Facilitate meetings, track progress, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
- Wrangle, summarize, and visualize data to provide actionable insights.
- Maintain project documentation and dashboards using business software tools.
Education:
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (0 years of experience required), or
- M.S. in a relevant scientific discipline with 2-3 years of experience, or
- B.S. in a relevant scientific discipline with 3-5 years of experience
Required Experience and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of drug discovery; experience in oncology and vaccine development preferred.
- Proficiency with business software tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong skills in data wrangling, analysis, visualization, and data management.
- Experience conducting interviews, facilitating meetings, and creating dashboards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with project management tools and business analytics platforms.
- Experience summarizing and presenting complex data for decision-making.
