Job Description

We are looking for an entry-level Research Analyst to join our dynamic, friendly and collaborative Pennside team. As a Research Analyst, you will conduct targeted research on a range of topic within the life sciences industry. This role sits within our Pennside team. Pennside is a leader in the competitive intelligence space, providing clients with accurate and reliable consulting services, having done so for over 25 years. From monitoring the latest developments in medical science to helping our clients understand the ever-changing business landscape, Pennside strives to equip our clients with the critical information and insights they need to drive innovation in medicine.

Salary range: $52,405 to $68,126

 

Role responsibilities

How will you make an impact at Envision Pharma Group?

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to identify industry trends, market opportunities, customer needs, as well as competitor activities and capabilities.
  • Ensure understanding of client needs and scope for a variety of client requests.
  • Assist with investigating issues, identifying root causes, and possible resolutions.
  • Support client meetings by taking detailed notes and ensuring accuracy of documentation.
  • Regularly update project trackers and team databases.
  • Analyze market segments and customer profiles to uncover growth areas and market potential.
  • Develop reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders.
  • Attend in-person congress events, across Europe and the US (estimated 5 events per year which may take place over weekends).

 

Do you have what we are looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in science, business administration, marketing or economics required. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Internship or work placement experience within a relevant industry would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of internet search engines and other research methods.
  • Proficient in Excel (spreadsheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and marketing practices.
  • Team player with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Passionate about joining a culture of ownership, delivery, and innovation.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
