Job Description
The Senior Medical Affairs Manager will play an important role in maintaining a strong regulatory affairs function and establishing the medical platform to support the continued success and growth of our Rare Diseases therapeutical areas. It will be a main responsibility to develop the presence and recognition of Sobi as a credible scientific partner by building relationships with key stakeholders, including HCPs and budget holder representatives in Sweden and in the NorBalt region in close collaboration with the leadership and the commercial and patient access functions in the local Sobi organization. This position will not have any direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Medical Affairs Manager, you will:
- Oversee regulatory execution and compliance as the NorBalt affiliate’s local representative for Regulatory Affairs, acting as the central hub for RA activities.
- Support the safe and appropriate use of Sobi products by ensuring scientific integrity, high ethical standards, and compliance, benefiting patients, clinicians, and the organization.
- Collaborate with affiliate and global teams to manage procurement processes for new vendors supporting Sobi with PV, MI, PQC, and other GxP-related services.
- Provide medical information and pharmacovigilance support in alignment with affiliate and HQ functions, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations within the Swedish affiliat
- Participate in local, regional, and global congresses and symposia to represent Sobi, engaging with stakeholders and customers in line with the company’s external engagement strategy.
- Work closely with other functions to ensure HCC is developed in collaboration with the affiliate team.
- Contribute to local medical strategies by supporting the development and implementation of medical tactics with the affiliate team.
- Ensure completion of required training in local regulations and policies, maintaining adherence to these standards while staying up-to-date with current knowledge for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
Qualifications
- University degree in science, medicine, or a related discipline, with knowledge of healthcare systems, regulatory, safety, and compliance environments in Sweden and the Nordics.
- Experience in medical affairs is desired, preferably in rare diseases, with additional experience in clinical development or specialty medicine account management being an advantage.
- Strong scientific/medical communication, presentation, and team-working skills, with experience in multi-stakeholder project management and leadership.
- Fluency in Swedish and English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
