5 Recent Food Collaborations that Reinvent the Snack Landscape

From Spicy Original SpaghettiOs to Kellogg’s ICEE Cereal, major food companies are partnering up to bring consumers new and exciting products, just in time for summer.

In the world of gastronomy, food collaborations are fast becoming a delicious way to invent new flavors, blend unique tastes and push the boundaries of our palettes. Here are five recent partnerships between major companies that have resulted in some tasty and surprising food collaborations.

1. Campbell Soup Co. and McCormick & Co.

These two food giants recently partnered up for the second time to launch Spicy Original SpaghettiOs featuring the fiery kick of Frank’s RedHot. This new edition of the beloved canned pasta features o-shaped pasta immersed in a delectable tomato and cheese sauce infused with the bold flavor of Frank’s RedHot. This is Campbell’s and McCormick’s second co-branded product following last year’s limited-edition Old Bay Seasoned Goldfish cracker.

2. The Hershey Co. and Ocean Spray

This food collaboration brought together two familiar favorites — chocolate and fruit. The companies created a new line of sweet treats made from real fruit and Hershey’s chocolate. The line features Milk Chocolate Dipped Cranberry Bites and Dark Chocolate Dipped Cherry Infused Cranberry Bites. These bites come in resealable pouches, making them perfect for snacking, on-the-go treats or as additions to trail mix and ice cream toppings.

3. Kellogg Co. and J&J Snack Foods Corp.

In a chilly twist, these two companies have crafted a food collaboration that brings the refreshing experience of J&J Snack Foods’ ICEE drink to the breakfast table. Their new product, Kellogg’s ICEE Cereal, is inspired by the best-selling Cherry and Blue Raspberry ICEE drinks. This innovative cereal cools your mouth as you eat, giving you the feeling of that first refreshing sip of an ICEE. The cereal offers a unique breakfast experience and even transforms milk into a slurp-worthy treat.

4. Van Leeuwen and Hidden Valley Ranch

This spring, Van Leeuwen unveiled seven new selections of ice cream, available exclusively at Walmart stores. Among these unique offerings was the limited-edition Hidden Valley Ranch ice cream, crafted in celebration of National Ranch Day on March 10, 2023. This innovative flavor combines the creamy richness of buttermilk, an exquisite blend of herbs and a hint of sweetness, resulting in a delightful accompaniment to your favorite salty snacks.

5. Dairy Farmers of America and Good Culture

The Dairy Farmers of America and the Good Culture brand recently introduced a dairy collaboration: probiotic milk. Good Culture Probiotic Milk combines the delicious taste and nutritional benefits of lactose-free milk with a proprietary probiotic strain that has been scientifically proven to support digestion and bolster the immune system. Good Culture Probiotic Milk is initially debuting at select retailers along the East Coast, and Good Culture has plans for future expansion so that their probiotic milk can reach a wider audience across the US.

Food collaborations like these are a testament to the power of creative thinking in the food industry. By combining their strengths, these companies have created products that offer novel and delightful flavors, adding a new layer of enjoyment to our daily snacks and meals. As we continue to see more of these partnerships, we can look forward to an ever-evolving landscape of culinary delights.
