Job Description
We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.
Job Summary
The Clinical Trial Materials Specialist I is responsible for assisting with client supply shipments and the assembly of investigator kits, inventory of supplies, stocking and re-stocking of supplies upon receipt/distribution, and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities
· Stock lab and office supplies upon receipt.
· Identifies supplies by expiration date and open dates.
· Performs lab and office supply inventory per procedures and within established times.
· Prepares and assembles lab shipments, including expiration, lot #, etc. following existing protocols.
· Assists with moving bulk supplies and files.
· Assists in lab kit builds and shipments for investigator sites.
· Prepares kits for shipment including required QC as well as documenting what supplies were shipped.
· Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or (GED) (or in the process of obtaining) preferred. This candidate should possess organizational and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to adapt to changing needs.
Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift up to 30 lbs. 4-5 times per day; must slide transfer supplies up to 30 lbs. 9-10 times per day; must be able to use a hand truck for moving bulk supplies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include hand-eye coordination and hand manipulation, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
