Job Description

The US Hematology Franchise at Sobi aspires to make a significant difference in the lives and care of patients with myelofibrosis (MF). As part of our commitment to this aspiration, we are building a team of MF Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs). These individuals will play a critical role in building and establishing productive and meaningful relationships with opinion leaders and the broader HCP community in the myeloproliferative neoplasms and myelofibrosis (MPN/MF) space. The TLL role will be at the Associate Director level within Sobi and is a field-based, non-sales focused but Commercially-aligned position. TLLs will report to the Vice President of Hematology Marketing and will be members of the home office marketing organization.

Responsibilities and accountabilities for the Thought Leader Liaisons include but are limited to the following:

  • Contribute directly and indirectly to the achievement of Commercial business objectives
  • Establish productive business relationships with opinion leaders and other members of the MPN/MF healthcare community
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional team members (Medical Science Liaisons, Clinical Account Managers, Regional Business Directors, Field Reimbursement Managers, home office staff, etc.) to develop and execute Commercial strategies and tactics to support achievement of aligned business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to develop and advise on tools and resources to be used with the healthcare community
  • Gather, synthesize, and share relevant and pertinent business insights with the cross-functional team to advance business objectives
  • Engage with and develop members of the HCP Speaker Bureau and support related initiatives that may include speaker training, content development, program planning and execution, etc.
  • Collaborate with Regional Business Directors on development and execution of account plans for key accounts and customers
  • Connect members of the HCP community with home office staff to support development and execution of Commercial objectives and tactics including HCP videos, personal promotional tools and resources, and other appropriate resources
  • Attend relevant MPN/MF congresses and tradeshows, both nationally and regionally, and support company strategies and initiatives in planning and on location (product theaters, OL engagements, booth staffing, etc.)
  • Plan and participate in advisory boards per relevant SOPs
  • Conduct all business with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal company policies

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree or higher in relevant field
  •  Minimum of 8 years of work experience in one or more of the following: field sales, product marketing, or medical / clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area within the pharmaceutical / biotech industry
  • MPN/MF experience and existing relationships strongly preferred; previous TLL experience in other therapeutic areas also considered
  • Specialty marketplace experience is required, with a strong understanding of the MF business landscape being preferred
  • Demonstrate fluency in articulating complex scientific concepts and data
  • Strong scientific acumen and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate business and science clearly and effectively with a variety of styles, professional and educational levels
  • Excellent communication (verbal and writing) skills with proven ability to present to large and small audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen actively and synthesize information in a meaningful way
  • Good judgment, ability to adapt and change in a shifting environment
  • Strategic, passionate, self-starter who takes initiative
  • Driving is an essential duty of the job; candidates must have a valid driver’s license to be considered
  • Strong understanding of the laws, regulations, and rules governing the pharmaceutical industry
  • Follow and be knowledgeable of all laws, regulations, and corporate policies
  • Ability to travel 70-80%, with 4 days in the field weekly; willingness to work weekends as needed to support business objectives
  • Responsibilities may require a work schedule that includes working outside of “normal” work hours, to meet business demands.

The base salary pay range for this role is $146,000-$183,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
