Job Description

You will be part of the Biochemical Analysis department, where four teams are closely connected and focused on manufacturing and characterizing lead candidates.

This vacancy is part of the CMC-Developability team, which is specifically responsible for providing developability and stability assessments for selected lead panels to predict potential risks during the drug development of the final lead candidate. Our expertise supports other teams in developing processes to mitigate these risks. Within our team, we constantly seek to improve existing techniques and introduce new analytical methods.

 

Responsibilities

· You perform experiments determining the melting point (Tm) and Onset of aggregation (Tagg) using the UNcle system and determine solubility (PEG assay).

· You perform experiments using a wide range of modern biochemical techniques in several simultaneous projects (e.g., CE-SDS, HPLC/UPLC, icIEF, etc.)

· You work closely with scientists and other research associates in multiple project teams, supporting each other constantly as a team

· You document and report the results in a clear and timely manner.

· Most of the work is performed according to Job Instructions (JI’s) and therefore requires high accuracy.

· You communicate with different stakeholders about requests and updates

· You contribute to the optimization and innovation of our team.

· You act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of one or more instruments

 

Requirements

You are keen and motivated to use your up-to-date knowledge in protein biochemistry and experience with biochemical techniques to strengthen our team. You are precise and accurate in the execution of experiments and the documentation of the results. You have good communication skills, a service-oriented attitude and can deal with changing priorities and unexpected workloads. You like to work in a team, but you can also work independently.

In addition, you meet the following professional requirements:

· You have a HLO (Bachelor’s) degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Science or other relevant fields

· 0-2 years of experience in the Biochemistry area

· Experience and/or a good understanding of protein analysis, preferably antibodies, is advantageous.

· You have knowledge and experience with commonly used biochemical analysis techniques such as Absorbance Spectroscopy, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE-SDS, icIEF), Analytical Chromatography (HPLC)

· Experience with Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF) is an advantage

· You can work successfully on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment and with tight timelines

· You are motivated by delivering high-quality output and are used to working according to a quality system

· An interest in software and data handling is an advantage.

· You have good relational and communication skills in English, as this is Genmab’s business language
