NuttZo Enters New Category by Introducing Tahini Fusion Butter

NuttZo Five-Seed Tahini Fusion enters a new market category making tahini part of its mixed nut and seed butter company portfolio.

NuttZo, a mixed nut and seed butter company, has entered the tahini spread market by introducing its new NuttZo Five-Seed Tahini Fusion. 

This tahini-style seed butter is made with sesame, flax, sunflower, pumpkin and chia seeds and delivers an authentic tahini-packed flavor filled with nutrients and protein.

“During quarantine, I discovered Tahini and was so impressed by how versatile it is. I began experimenting in my kitchen and decided to give it a NuttZo twist by adding a variety of seeds to build out the flavor and nutrient profile, and it was amazing,” said Danielle Dietz-LiVolsi, the founder and CEO of NuttZo, in a press release. 

The company was built on the idea of homemade butter made with nuts that cater to one’s healthy habits and various seeds to boost nutritional benefits. Five-Seed Tahini Fusion is a new addition to the company’s portfolio by introducing a new ingredient that can be used in cooking and better-for-you baking recipes. The product can be used as a sweet or savory addition to desserts, smoothies, salad dressings or used as a dip. 

“Five-Seed Tahini Fusion is a no-brainer evolution for NuttZo. We are always looking for strategic ways to expand across the grocery store,” said LiVolsi.

According to the statement, “Five-Seed Tahini Fusion is gluten-free and approved for the paleo, keto, Whole30, vegan and kosher lifestyles. Further, Five-Seed Tahini Fusion is allergen-friendly – free of dairy, soy and nuts, and made in a peanut-free facility.”

The tahini market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 4.8 percent in the forecasted period 2020 to 2025. According to Mordor Intelligence, the Middle East makes up the largest geographical segment of this market, with around 88.3 percent. 

Tahini is a popular ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine. It is used to make sauces, dressings and used as a garnish on meat and vegetables. It is now gaining popularity in the Western world. The New York Times called tahini the new mother sauces.

Tahini is also known for its health benefits, which, due to its mono and poly-unsaturated fats, have been beneficial for an individual’s heart and health. The main ingredient in tahini is sesame seeds, which are known to be a good source of fiber, can lower cholesterol and blood pressure and are an excellent plant-based protein substitute. 

NuttZo is known for its seven nuts and seed blends that can be enjoyed right out of the jar, on the go, or as their new Bold BiteZ, which are refrigerated snack bars. The snack bars are low in sugar, high in protein and come in three options: matcha, collagen, or probiotics.
