Doritos are hyping up the new year with changes to two of their popular flavors. They are calling all Flamin Hot’ and Cool Ranch flavor fans to begin the new year with Dorito, Flamin’ Hot Limon and an enhanced Cool Ranch that takes the flavors to the next level.
The Flamin Hot Limon brings in the same signature spice but adds a tangy twist, while the Doritos Cool Ranch brings its fans a more intense cool ranch flavor.
Those are two popular flavors from their array of other flavors, which include, nacho cheese, sweet chili heat, spicy nacho and many more. Doritos is one of the many brands that make up Frito-Lay North America.
“Doritos is known for making bold, innovative moves — whether it’s new movie partnerships, e-sports tournaments, an ad without logos, and of course new flavors,” said Leslie Vesper, senior director of marketing, Frito-Lay North America.
According to Food Business News, 90 percent of US and 80 percent of European consumers say they enjoy hot and spicy foods. Doritos is targeting those in the growing consumer market by introducing Flamin’ Hot Limon chips. Last year they introduced Flamin’ Hot Nachos which were an instant success in the market.

According to YouGov, a global public opinion and data company, Frito-Lay is the 13th most popular food and snack brand. Furthermore, Doritos is the 22nd most popular food and snack brand.
Cool Ranch has been a popular Doritos flavor for many years. The blue bag is an iconic packaging choice for the flavor. Doritos wanted to pack the bag with even more flavor, reintroducing it to the market with the same classic flavor, just intensified.
Both chip flavors are now available in store. The retail suggested price is $4.29 for the 9.75 oz bag and $1.89 for the 2.75 oz size.
“The release of Doritos Flamin’ Hot Limon and the revamped Doritos Cool Ranch are two entirely new ways for fans to enjoy our beloved legacy flavors,” said Vesper.
