With over 20+ years expertise in the pharmacovigilance industry, Anand Ananthakrishnan is currently the Senior Director of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance at Blueprint Medicines – a Biotechnology firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Prior to Blueprint Medicines, he held positions as the Director of PV Safety Systems and Operations at Fresenius Medical Care North America and served as the Associate Director of Safety Systems at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. He is a strong proponent of use of technology in PV and has been a front runner in deploying state of the art systems for efficiency gain across all facets of the domain. He is a strong believer in an integrated ecosystem for information flow between case processing, signal detection, literature search and submissions systems. He was awarded the “All Star Award” for Innovation at the Breakthrough 2022 conference held in Boston last year.
