Babu Sivaraman is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California. He has more than 16 years of experience in the development and commercialization of bioprocessing tools and solutions. Dr. Sivaraman’s team at Culture Biosciences has successfully developed and implemented bench-scale reactors that are monitored and controlled via cloud-hosted process automation and data analysis solutions.

Prior to Culture Biosciences, he was at Thermo Fisher Scientific where he managed the bioprocess equipment and automation portfolio as the Product Leader. Prior to that, Dr. Sivaraman designed and delivered process control and building automation solutions for biopharmaceuticals, chemicals and metal processing at Fluor Enterprises Inc.

His current areas of interest include developing efficient, scalable infrastructures using modern technologies for bioprocessing and enabling accelerated process development through data-driven solutions.
