PCCA is a marketing cooperative owned by farmers in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico dedicated to supplying sustainably-grown, high-quality cotton fiber around the world. PCCA also owns cotton warehouse facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. In addition to cotton marketing and warehousing services, PCCA provides innovative technology solutions to gins that help add more value to our grower-owners' cotton.

Position Purpose

The Application Programmer's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications supporting business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Applications Programmer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and maintain software in support of PCCA's mission
  • Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
  • Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill the requirements of all internal & external program users.

Essential Skills and Background
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or information systems
  • C#, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, or other RDBMS
  • Experience with web front-end development
  • Experience identifying and resolving software issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and an interdisciplinary team

Helpful Skills and Background
  • Experience with mobile application development
  • Experience maintaining legacy Classic ASP applications
  • Experience maintaining Perl scripts
