Description
The Associate Director, Strategy & Portfolio Intelligence role will be a critically important player who owns & shapes scientific, operational, and external-facing facets of BBOT. This includes developing the business plan, scientific plan, strategy, budget, and more. Success in this role requires a keen understanding of molecular biology, chemistry, translational medicine, clinical development, and a willingness to interpret & question scientific strategy. You will help boil down complex issues into bite-size, easy-to-understand information regarding the programs you cover from a scientific, clinical, and business/financial perspective. The role will include responsibilities for aggregating and synthesizing competitive intelligence and generating insights for BBOT's portfolio and strategic positioning. You will work with teams across the BBOT organization and be relied upon to be a detailed and rational problem-solver who thinks independently, improvises, and inspires excellence.

Compensation
BBOT considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, skills, education, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will vary, and it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Base compensation is part of a robust total rewards offering at BBOT. Additional total rewards elements include annual bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, medical, dental, and vision benefits, retirement, wellness stipend, and flexible time off.

Responsibilities
- Report into the SVP, Strategy & BD on business strategy, competitive intelligence, and special projects
- Learn quickly the scientific, operational, and external-facing facets of BBOT programs
- Set, prioritize, and manage milestones & deliverables
- Interpret, synthesize, and communicate key data findings succinctly
- Identify problems, locate the resources, and find data-driven solutions independent of supervision
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- PhD or MD from top-tier academic institutions or scientific undergrad with commensurate work experience
- Strategic planning, operating, and portfolio management experience working with a close-knit team at a biotech startup or top-tier pharma
- Experience in oncology, preferably with small molecule inhibitors and / or in the RAS space
- Working knowledge of relevant CI databases and AI tools
