Job Description

Our Test Technicians experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by leading initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and updating medical devices at a specific location in New York. This is a great opportunity for you to advance your technical and leadership skills!

General Job Requirements: 

  • Biomedical technician degree, CBET or electronics related Associate degree highly preferred. Equivalent experience in electromechanical/electronic technology repair will be considered.
  • Recent college graduates and military veterans with experience in an electronics related MOS are encouraged to apply!
  • 1 year of experience minimum troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and updating electronic or electromechanical hardware required; equivalent education will be considered.
  • Ability to work 40 hours weekly 1st (6am - 2pmEST) or 2nd (2:30pmEST - 11pmEST) shift work Monday through Friday required.
  • Ability to work overtime on Saturdays highly preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills required to enter data, navigate, and routinely toggle between various applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and company software programs are required.
  • Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE), including compliance wearing safety glasses in designated areas, required.
  • Ability to sit and or stand for long periods of time with frequent walking, stooping, reaching, grasping, and using fine & gross motor manipulation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis and occasionally up to 41lbs.

Required Electrical Hardware Experience:

Must have intermediate troubleshooting abilities in the discipline of electronics.

  • Experience using electrical system testing and diagnostics tools required (Example - multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot electronic hardware down to component level to effectively determine root cause of failure required.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports to sufficiently capture and defend evaluation findings required.
  • Experience in reverse engineering highly preferred

Responsibilities: 

  • Organizing, testing, repairing and updating medical devices, installing and configuring hardware, software, and network products.
  • Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation, repair, calibration, or configuration.
  • Manage project timelines and customer needs.
