Job Description

We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. 

 Summary

The BRS Associate I is responsible for sample management activities around specimen storage, retrieval, shipment, and destruction. The BRS Associate I will work closely with the Investigator Support Services (ISS) and Sample Processing Services (SPS) staff for sample management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Specimen storage at all temperatures
  • Preparation of specimen shipments
  • Identification and escalation of sample discrepancies
  • Client (internal and external) communications
  • Biorepository housekeeping tasks including, but not limited to, freezer maintenance, alarm testing, maintenance of supplies, and end-of-day activities
  • Attend BRS trainings/meetings
  • Other duties as required by management

Education/Experience and Skills Required

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required.Training and education in clinical laboratory sciences is preferred and working in a complex office operation is preferred
  • Microsoft Office applications including MS Word and Excel required

 Hours and Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm EST
