Position Title: Director, Marketing

Reports To: Vice President, Marketing

Summary of Position:

The Director, Marketing will be the steward of key marketing work-streams, including personal promotional tactics, message evolution, Payor/government marketing, Speaker development, sales training alignment, vendor management, etc. The Director, Marketing will work closely across commercial and non-commercial functions to ensure alignment of core messaging that optimizes the value proposition for Paratek products, specifically, XHANCE.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Primary owner of XHANCE brand activities
  • Creation / evolution of branded campaigns and campaign materials for the US market including payor and government
  • Development of clear and succinct approved messaging that resonates with the perceptions and attitudes of HCPs
  • Selection and management of creative agencies to deliver on internally developed priorities
  • Optimization of promotional touchpoints across all personal and non-personal channels (including digital / omni-channel considerations, next best interactions, etc.)
  • Effective collaboration with medical, legal, and regulatory review committee to shepherd promotional materials aligned to brand positioning
  • Partnership with operational, analytical, and IT functions to ensure alignment of content and optimization of HCP resources
  • Setting of KPIs to determine effectiveness of campaigns
  • Collaboration with Market Research to assess and validate positioning, value proposition, and opportunities for brand differentiation, as well as optimize analytical support for the brand
  • Coordinated planning with Sales management, Operations, and Sales Training to ensure optimal execution within the sales organization
    • Work effectively with and across Sales Teams to achieve execution of plan
  • Partnership with Market Access and Trade to ensure branding alignment and coordination of materials across customers
  • Compliant collaboration with Medical Affairs and Field Medical teams
  • Coordination of annual Business Planning process across all indications
  • Development of the annual brand budget process as well as ensuring cross-functional alignment of annual priority setting and budgets
  • Effective alignment to the established corporate and industry compliance guidelines
  • Interactions with field management and representatives to gain market intelligence and gauge efficacy of materials
  • Effective collaboration with Marketing leads on DTP (Direct to Patient) and NPP (Non personal promotion)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • 15 or more years of pharmaceutical commercial experience, including relevant experience working on, or with, digital, social media, and non-personal promotion
  • Strong understanding of managed care environment
  • Demonstrated cross-functional knowledge base including but not limited to market research and analytics, market access, medical affairs, field sales, regulatory compliance, and clinical development principles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and manage coordination of cross-functional projects in complex matrix environments
  • Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional and cross-geographical team environment
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication and high-impact presentation skills
