Description

The Field Brand & Sales Representative supports brand growth across New Jersey through a combination of consumer engagement, in-store activations, and direct sales support. This role is responsible for executing initiatives that increase brand awareness, strengthen retail relationships, and drive product sell-through at the store level.

Operating as both a brand ambassador and sales support partner, the position focuses on translating in-market engagement into measurable sales results.

The Field Brand & Sales Representative works closely with retail teams, participates in events and activations, and provides ongoing support to ensure consistent brand presence and performance.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to effectively connect brand strategy to day-to-day execution in the field

What You'll Do:

Brand Representation, Sales & Event Execution (40%)
  • Represent Justice Grown brands at dispensary events, local markets, festivals, trade shows, and community events
  • Execute in-store and off-site activations that drive immediate sales and long-term brand loyalty
  • Educate consumers on products, effects, and promotions to influence purchasing decisions
  • Promote dispensary traffic, featured products, loyalty programs, and if we are present on their app (if applicable)
  • Plan and coordinate event logistics including setup, breakdown, materials, and staffing
  • Support promotional campaigns and product launches in-market

Retail Sales Execution & Account Management (30%)
  • Visit 15-30 dispensary accounts weekly, prioritizing top-performing locations multiple times per month
  • Build strong relationships with budtenders, GMs, and inventory teams to drive product advocacy
  • Actively influence in-store sales by educating staff on product features, effects, and selling points
  • Ensure strong product visibility and merchandising execution:
    • Stock and clean displays
    • Set up branded materials and fixtures
    • Ensure placement on menus, kiosks, and TVs
  • Deliver swag, samples (in a compliant manner) and incentives to increase engagement and sell-through
  • Identify and execute store-level opportunities to increase velocity

In-Store Activations & Sales Driving (15%)
  • Execute 1-2 in-store activations per day during peak sales days (Thursday-Saturday)
  • Engage directly with customers to:
    • Educate on products
    • Upsell featured items
    • Convert interest into purchases
  • Distribute promotional materials and incentivize purchases during activations
  • Motivate and energize store staff through contests, education, and incentives

Relationship Building & Community Engagement (5%)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Retail partners
    • Local businesses
    • Community organizations
  • Identify and develop B2B partnerships that create referral traffic and cross-promotional opportunities
  • Participate in community events to strengthen brand presence and trust

Consumer Engagement & Education (5%)
  • Provide hands-on education about products, effects, and usage
  • Conduct informal surveys and gather consumer insights
  • Act as a trusted, knowledgeable face of the brand

Market Intelligence & Reporting (3%)
  • Track and report:
    • Sales impact from activations
    • Account performance and feedback
    • Consumer trends and preferences
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for growth
  • Provide actionable insights to sales and marketing leadership

Sampling & Promotions (1%)
  • Execute compliant sampling programs where permitted
  • Distribute promotional items aligned with campaigns
  • Track effectiveness of sampling efforts

Social Media & Brand Amplification (1%)
  • Support local social media efforts by promoting events and activations
  • Capture content from the field to support marketing initiatives
  • Engage with local audiences using brand-aligned messaging

Team Collaboration
  • Partner closely with sales, marketing, and retail teams to align on goals and execution
  • Share real-time feedback from the field to improve strategy
  • Support onboarding and mentorship of new team members
  • Contribute to a high-energy, collaborative team culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Outgoing, high-energy, and comfortable in customer-facing environments
  • Strong understanding of sales tactics, merchandising, and retail execution
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and influence purchasing behavior
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a territory independently
  • Knowledge of cannabis products and regulations
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively
