Mobile Phlebotomist

Do you love hitting the road, meeting new people, and making a real impact every day? We are looking for a positive, dependable, and people-oriented Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team! If you are skilled in venipuncture, work independently, and enjoy delivering exceptional results, this position is for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Sample Collection
    • Responsible for drawing all patient samples within assigned routes and schedules.
    • Provide coverage for sample collection duties when needed.
    • Maintain regular contact with assigned facilities and staff to ensure service satisfaction.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate any current or potential customer issues within the assigned territory, offering suggestions for resolution.
    • Serve as a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable face of PHS laboratory services.
    • Address all service concerns and respond promptly to requests from staff and facilities.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain detailed records of time worked and mileage.
    • Assist with correction and missing information requests from Insurance and Billing teams.
    • Ensure proper documentation for sample collection and reporting.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in venipuncture and a thorough understanding of tube/draw requirements for various tests.
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to independently resolve problems.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods while performing specimen collection
  • Comfortable driving for extended stretches to various patient locations.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small instruments and performing precise blood draws.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under high-stress situations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and varying patient needs.

2:00am - 10:00am, Monday through Friday. Traveling to long-term care facilities to collect various samples, and bring samples back to laboratory in Shawnee.
