Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- NCCPA certification (for PAs) or VT Board of Nursing licensure (for NPs)
- Vermont state license
- DEA registration
Experience
- 3-5 years of direct patient care experience required
- 1-2 years in an orthopedic setting preferred
- First Assist experience preferred (training available)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct history and physical exams
- Provide pre- and post-operative care
- Diagnose and prescribe treatment
- Develop and manage care plans in collaboration with physicians
- Utilize ancillary services as appropriate
- Serve as First Assist in the operating room
Additional Role Details
- Participation in shared on-call rotation (Call responsibility one weekend every four months)
