ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs, analyzes, and interprets microbiological testing of finished products, stability samples, raw materials, and environmental samples according to USP (or other) requirements.
• Assists with the preparation of isolates for identification.
• Prepares microbiological media.
• Collects microbial samples as required.
• Maintains a clean, organized laboratory environment including daily logs and sample tracking.
• Updates spreadsheets with appropriate data.
• Responsible for comprehensive recording of test results.
• Maintains proper notebook documentation.
• Performs other duties as required.

Other Qualifications
To be successful in this position the ideal candidate must be:

• Must be able to complete all required documentation (includes, but is not limited to, batch records, log books, notebooks, raw data (charts, graphs, scans, etc.), validation protocols, labels and cGMP-related forms).
• Detail oriented
• Self-Starter, team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
• Strong personal integrity

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors (B.S.) in Microbiology, Biology or Biological Sciences

OR

• Bachelors (B.S.) in a field not related to Biology with 3 years of bench work in cGMP lab
• Lab Knowledge (college or work setting)
• Work independently with minimal direction
• Schedule flexibility - "On Call weekends"

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years in cGMP lab environment
• Aseptic technique
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures in the field of microbiology
