Job Description

The Research Associate II/Associate Scientist I will be part of the Targeted Therapeutics Group focused on generating novel antibody-based therapies for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases. The encumbent will be responsible for designing and executing experiments to produce and characterize novel antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) to treat a variety of cancers. This role will work collaboratively with a group of experienced scientists to advance preclinical programs and will gradually take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Job Duties

  • Perform and optimize bioconjugation reactions. Purify, and characterize ADCs using FPLC, HPLC, and mass spectrometry (MS).
  • Develop, conduct, and troubleshoot in vitro experiments to assess the function of our ADCs and dissect the mechanism of action of these novel cancer therapeutics. Tasks will include cell culture, cytotoxicity assay, ELISA and cell binding assays, flow cytometry, western blots, RNA isolation, and in vitro cellular functional assays.
  • Support mass spectrometry (MS)-based analysis of ADC catabolism in cells, plasma and tumors.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results and present research updates at project team meetings, group meetings and to senior management when required.
