Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa.  The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields

We are looking for a researcher for the biology research team in the preclinical department.
The job includes basic scientific research for the identification of the responses to electric fields at the molecular and cellular levels.

Full-time position, based on our R&D center, Haifa, Israel

Temporary position for 9 months, starting September 1st, 2024

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effective experimental planning, preparation of protocols, conductance of experiments according to protocol, documentation of the results, interpretation of the results, and preparation of a summary report in accordance with the highest scientific standards
• Responsible for performing in vitro experiments according to good laboratory practice
• Maintain personal and other employee’s safety

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Qualifications:

PhD in biological sciences

• Knowledge:
• Experience in cell culture practice
• Experience in flow cytometry
• Experience in confocal microscopy
• Experience in the biotech industry - advantage
• Knowledge of the research practice of cancer - advantage
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• Written and oral communication skills
