Job Description
Senior Manager, Learning & Development is an education, training and development role for the US Business Unit. This individual is responsible for developing, implementing and measuring the impact of learning strategies and programs for US-field based, HCP-facing teams. The primary focus of the Learning & Development team is to ensure the growth and development of our people through clinical competence and skill-based learning along with strategic agility and leadership development.
This is a full-time, exempt, remote role tied to the Chesterbrook office reporting to the Director, Learning and Development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize internal and external resources to develop, administer, and optimize learning experiences and programs from onboarding through career development within role
- Able to take ownership, lead without authority and eager to contribute to the success of the entire team
- Able to lead learning functions with sound decision-making skills and expertise
- Demonstrate skill in applying approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaboraitve manner
- Exhibit up-to-date knowledge of clinical, marketplace and the business of oncology
- Demonstrate ability to manage through change; effective prioritization skills
- Ensure strong communication and partnership with the sales, marketing, medical and other cross-functional partners and subject matter experts to identify individual learning needs
- Gain alignment through collaboration on new and existing learning initiatives
- Champion consistency and quality of learning materials, learning delivery, and learning sustainability across functions
- Demonstrate the ability to assess learning needs; make appropriate recommendations and supposrt the design and development of new learning assets as needed
- Employ varied methods of learning delivery to accommodate multiple learning styles & information needs
- Reinforce training as a culture of ongoing learning and development initiatives
- Leverage project management skills to schedule, organize, and execute multiple detailed undertakings, producing on-time deliverables
- Use analytic skills to monitor KPI’s and trends
- Conduct field visits, classroom facilitation, and participate in off-site meetings
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- 7-10 years’ experience in biotech/pharmaceutical, durable medical equipment or medical device sales - Experience can be across a combination of sales, sales leadership, sales training, clinical education, marketing, training
- 2+ years of Learning and Development experience
- 2+ years in oncology experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree in relevant area preferred
- Exceptional oral/written communication, interpersonal and faciliation skills
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally to prioritize contributions to the overall success of the team
- Expert knowledge of training goals for sales, medical, leadership, functional skills and the ability to coach team members
- Successful track record as demonstrated by role of increasing responsibility
- Experience with vendor management specializing in training platforms for sales, medical, marketing and leadership excellence
- Demonstrates passion for helping people learn and grow
