Position Summary

The Sterile Manufacturing Operator Lead oversees sterile manufacturing in an International Organization for Standardization (ISO)-classified Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) environment, ensuring quality and efficiency. This role supports Empower's mission to deliver affordable, high-quality medications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads sterile manufacturing processes, including preparation, mixing, and aseptic vial filling, while ensuring adherence to schedules and daily operations.
  • Analyzes production data to identify trends, ensure quality, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains an ISO-classified cGMP environment through cleaning, disinfecting, and sterile compounding.
  • Trains new hires, manages workforce allocation, resolves equipment issues, and ensures compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Reviews batch records, maintains documentation, and addresses non-conformances to uphold product quality.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a controlled environment and follow detailed instructions.
  • Possesses proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet software, with basic math skills, and experience in a lead or mentoring role preferred.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year compounding experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
