What Are Your Proudest Life Science Achievements?

One of my proudest achievements is creating and publishing Determined To Be Extraordinary, a collaborative memoir featuring 27 modern women in STEM from around the world. It’s so much more than a story book; it’s a movement to create the STEM leaders of the future. Professionally, I’ve been trusted to lead high-stakes clinical strategies, including interactions with the FDA and multi-million-dollar due diligence efforts for acquisitions. I take pride in building bridges between science, business and human impact by driving the development of new products, integrating clinical teams post-acquisition or mentoring executives through career transitions.

What Are Your Day-to-Day Job Highlights?

I love the diversity of my work. On any given day, I could be guiding my company through clinical strategy, designing our next human research study, coaching a healthcare executive or providing a platform for a woman to share her story of strength and perseverance, inspiring and motivating girls and young women. What energizes me most is helping others.

What Are Your Favorite Life Science Innovations?

I’m especially excited about extracellular matrix (ECM) technologies in regenerative medicine. They are redefining what’s possible in patient care by regenerating diseased tissue and healing the body. I’m also excited about the future of AI platforms that enhance and streamline data collection and decision-making processes in clinical trials. The integration of smart technologies into life sciences is helping us innovate faster and more efficiently.

What Is Your Vision for the Future of the Industry?

I see a future where access, insight and empathy drive innovation. Advances in science come at a great cost, but creating technologies that significantly improve patient healthcare quickly repay that debt. I envision a life sciences industry where new evidence is translated quickly and clearly, and inclusivity and patient-centered thinking help shape the design and function of new products. I have learned that collaboration across disciplines nurtures visionary thinking, leading us to a better future.
