  • OpenAI – Torch: OpenAI acquired Torch, a four-person health records startup, in an acqui-hire reportedly valued at about $100 million in equity. Torch was developing technology to unify fragmented medical data for AI use, and its team will support OpenAI’s ChatGPT Health service.
  • Hims & Hers – Eucalyptus: On February 19, 2026, Hims & Hers agreed to acquire Eucalyptus, an international telehealth company providing online consultations, prescriptions and pharmacy services. The deal, valued at up to $1.15 billion, supports Hims & Hers’ expansion into markets including Australia and Japan while strengthening its presence in the UK, Germany and Canada.
  • Universal Health Services – Talkspace: On March 9, 2026, Universal Health Services agreed to acquire Talkspace for approximately $835 million. Talkspace provides virtual mental health care through an online platform connecting patients with licensed therapists and psychiatrists. The acquisition expands UHS’s outpatient and digital behavioral health services.
  • Sword Health – Kaia Health: On January 28, 2026, Sword Health acquired digital health company Kaia Health for $285 million. Both companies develop digital programs that help patients manage musculoskeletal conditions through guided therapy and remote monitoring. The acquisition expands Sword Health’s digital care platform and strengthens its presence in Germany’s digital health reimbursement system.
  • Quantum Health – CirrusMD: Quantum Health has acquired CirrusMD, an on-demand virtual care provider. The deal brings physician-led virtual care into Quantum Health’s healthcare navigation model to support more integrated care across the patient journey.
  • Chartis – Leap AI: Chartis expanded its digital transformation capabilities with the March 19, 2026, acquisition of Leap AI. Leap AI develops AI-based healthcare tools, including workflow automation and data-driven solutions for healthcare organizations.

Health IT, EHR & Data Infrastructure

  • Harmony Healthcare IT – Blue Elm: Harmony Healthcare IT acquired Blue Elm, a Meditech data solutions provider that has supported more than 500 hospitals. The deal adds Meditech-specific capabilities across all major versions, strengthening Harmony’s data extraction, migration, optimization and archiving services for hospitals managing legacy systems.
  • DoseSpot – Arrive Health: On March 2, 2026, healthcare technology companies DoseSpot and Arrive Health merged to form Interra Health. DoseSpot develops electronic prescribing software, while Arrive Health provides tools that show medication coverage and pricing information. The combined platform aims to give clinicians real-time cost and coverage information when prescribing medications.
  • ESO – d2i: ESO acquired d2i on April 7, 2026. The combination brings together clinical, operational and financial data tools to support performance improvement and decision-making across emergency care settings.

Workforce, Staffing & Healthcare Operations Platforms

  • IntelyCare – CareRev: IntelyCare acquired CareRev, combining post-acute and acute care staffing platforms into a broader clinical workforce solution. Both companies will continue operating under their existing brands, providing health systems tools to manage contingent labor, internal staffing pools and clinician scheduling across care settings.
  • Omni Family of Services – JusticeWorks YouthCare: On March 3, 2026, Omni Family of Services acquired JusticeWorks YouthCare, a social services organization focused on child welfare and juvenile justice programs. Omni provides behavioral health and family support services across the US. The acquisition expands its services and geographic reach.
  • MUSC Health – Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: On March 3, 2026, MUSC Health acquired Palmetto Primary Care Physicians for $111 million. The practice provides primary and specialty care across South Carolina. The acquisition is intended to expand access to primary care services in regions facing physician shortages.
  • IKS Health – ThinkDTM: A March 31, 2026, acquihire brought ThinkDTM’s AI and digital product team into IKS Health. The deal adds expertise to support patient access functions such as scheduling, registration and insurance verification.
  • Viventium – Perks4Care: Viventium added Perks4Care to its platform on March 19, 2026. Perks4Care provides workforce engagement tools for post-acute care providers, with programs focused on caregiver recognition and retention.

Hospital Systems & Provider Network Transactions

    • Community Health Systems – Tenor Health Foundation (Pennsylvania Hospitals): Community Health Systems completed the divestiture of three Pennsylvania hospitals to affiliates of Tenor Health Foundation for $33 million in cash plus a $15 million promissory note. The transaction includes hospitals in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre and closed on February 1, 2026.
    • Prime Healthcare Foundation – Central Maine Healthcare: On February 16, 2026, Prime Healthcare Foundation became the sole corporate member and parent organization of Central Maine Healthcare. Prime Healthcare Foundation operates nonprofit hospitals across the US, while Central Maine Healthcare runs hospitals and care facilities in Maine. The transaction brings several hospitals, physician practices and care services into the Prime Healthcare Foundation network.
    • Community Health Systems – Freeman Health System (Hospital Divestiture): On March 5, 2026, Community Health Systems agreed to sell four Arkansas hospitals and related outpatient facilities to Freeman Health System for $112 million. Community Health Systems operates hospitals across the US, while Freeman Health System is a regional provider based in Missouri. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
    • NorthBay Health – Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center (Proposed): On March 6, 2026, NorthBay Health signed a letter of intent to acquire Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center, a 198-bed hospital in Napa, California. NorthBay Health operates hospitals and outpatient services in Northern California. If completed, the deal would expand the system to three hospitals.
    • RWJBarnabas Health – Englewood Health: On January 5, 2026, RWJBarnabas Health signed a definitive agreement for Englewood Health to join its system. RWJBarnabas Health operates hospitals and outpatient care programs across New Jersey, while Englewood Health provides hospital and specialty care services in Bergen County. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
    • Altru Health System – CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake (Hospital Ownership Transfer): On March 1, 2026, Altru Health System completed the transfer of CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake from CommonSpirit Health. Altru Health System operates hospitals and clinics in North Dakota and Minnesota. The hospital will now operate as Altru Hospital Devils Lake.
    • Huntsville Hospital Health System – Crestwood Medical Center: Huntsville Hospital Health System agreed to acquire Crestwood Medical Center and related outpatient facilities from a subsidiary of Community Health Systems. Huntsville Hospital Health System operates hospitals across northern Alabama, while Crestwood Medical Center provides hospital and emergency services in the Huntsville region. The deal is expected to close in early Q2 2026.
    • Ramsay Health Care – National Capital Private Hospital: On December 23, 2025, Ramsay Health Care agreed to acquire National Capital Private Hospital in Canberra for $251 million. Ramsay operates private hospitals and healthcare services internationally. The transaction marks the company’s first hospital investment in Australia’s capital territory and is expected to close in mid-2026.
    • Sutter Health – Allina Health: Sutter Health and Allina Health have signed a Letter of Intent for Allina to join the Sutter system. The proposed transaction includes more than $2 billion in planned investment across Minnesota and western Wisconsin, with closing expected by the end of 2026 pending regulatory approvals.

MKH Capital Partners – Haven Health Management: In April 2026, MKH Capital Partners acquired Haven Health Management, a behavioral health provider offering mental health and substance use disorder services. The transaction also included a billing services organization to support payer contracting and revenue cycle operations.

Home Health, Hospice & Care-at-Home Enablement

  • LivTech – Alora Healthcare Systems: Alora Healthcare Systems, a provider of cloud-based home health software, has been acquired by LivTech. The transaction expands LivTech’s platform with tools for clinical documentation, scheduling and billing in home-based care settings.
  • Aveanna Healthcare – Family First Homecare: Aveanna Healthcare agreed on March 12, 2026, to acquire Family First Homecare, a multi-state provider of pediatric home care services, including skilled private-duty nursing. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026.

Payers, Benefits & Insurance Distribution

Gyde – Avid Health: Gyde acquired Avid Health on April 2, 2026. Avid is a Medicare-focused insurance agency, and the transaction supports Gyde’s effort to build an AI-enabled brokerage platform for managing Medicare coverage and client engagement.

Consumer Health & Retail Healthcare

Prestige Consumer Healthcare – Breathe Right and Related Brands: Prestige Consumer Healthcare agreed on March 20, 2026, to acquire the Breathe Right brand and a portfolio of consumer health products for about $1.045 billion. The deal expands Prestige’s presence in nonprescription respiratory and wellness products and is expected to close in the first half of fiscal 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
